I am delighted to announce I will be playing Sara in Embrace Theatre’s production of Stop Kiss, directed by Charlie Peters. Stop Kiss is the fifth show in Live Five’s upcoming tenth season, and runs March 27-30 and April 3-6, 2014 at the Refinery Arts & Spirit Centre.
Through scenes alternating between present and past, Callie and Sara’s story unfolds: the two young women meet in lonely New York; a friendship develops which blossoms into more; they finally kiss. This unleashes a violent reaction that threatens everything. A moving, funny, inspiring play.
“Angela Kemp’s performance as Alison is strong. It must be difficult to take that kind of abuse night after night. She is defeated but there is still a warmth and charm to her character. Kemp does an excellent job with all of those dimensions.” – Stephanie McKay
